Coaxial Cables

Arcor can provide coaxial cable for a variety of uses in many different sizes. Coaxial cable is a type of cable that has an inner conductor surrounded by a tubular insulation layer, which is then surrounded by a tubular conducting shield. From there, those three layers typically have an insulating outer sheath. Coaxial cable is different from other shielded cables, in that the dimensions are controlled to give a precise amount of constant, consistent spacing, which is necessary for its efficiency.

Television & Electronics Cable

Coaxial cable is used for transmitting radio frequency signals, and is often used for cable television. Additionally, it is used for radio transmitters and internet connections. Coaxial cable is a good choice for carrying weak signals that cannot withstand interference from the environment, and is also ideal for higher electrical signals that can’t be allowed to radiate into other circuits.

High Quality Cord Types

At Arcor, we are able to supply you with the type of coax cables you need, including:

Coaxial cables are available with solid plastic, foam plastic, or “air with spacers” insulation surrounding the inner conductor. Commonly, lower-loss cables use solid polyethylene insulator. Many cables use braided copper wire as the shield, which allows the cable to be flexible. Some cables have double-layer shielding.

Whatever you need coaxial cables for, Arcor is ready to help source and find the right product for your application. Depending on where you will be using the cable, certain shields may be more efficient in terms of conductivity and flexibility, and we’ll be happy to help you determine what the best composition of coax cable will be for your particular use.  We can find whatever size and length you need.

Terminated coaxial cables and value added services are also available. Contact us for pricing or application questions about coaxial cable.
